The award winning Bourbon Street Stompers were organized as a Dixieland band in the fall of 1988. The group is a sextet of traditional Dixieland instruments. They perform a mix of traditional Dixieland jazz (the 1950's style of Bob Scoby and Clancy Hayes) along with occasional ragtime and novelty tunes. The group does their own vocals and plays dance tunes if the occasion demands. The players are all experienced musicians from the Southeastern Wisconsin area.
